It ships in a passive, listen-only mode; an optional research build with additional capabilities can be loaded by the user and is for authorized testing only. Provided as is, without warranty. About the creator: Bryce
Clip-Boy is designed and built by Bryce, a high school junior
from San Antonio, TX. When he's not soldering or writing
firmware, he's leading his CyberPatriot team as team commander
— 3rd in the Cisco Networking Challenge at Nationals and 9th
overall in the nation out of 4,787 teams that competed — and
building indie games. This is his second DEF CON badge — the
first was Space Badge, 218% funded on Kickstarter.

AI & Tooling Transparency
Bryce designed the PCB and enclosure, defined the feature set, and made every call
about what ships and what gets cut. He tested on physical hardware (some of it
gloriously flaky).

→ Claude + Claude Code — code review, PCB review, debugging partner
→ ESP32 Marauder by justcallmekoko — base for the Wi-Fi/BLE security tooling, ported to Clip-Boy with significant AI-assisted refactoring
→ Flux.1 Schnell & Gemini — collectible artwork (prompts written and curated by Bryce)
→ Adobe Firefly — image refinement and cleanup
→ ChatGPT — a handful of static graphics, including Clippy
